A Time to Celebrate

Jul 22, 2014

Of the many wonderful events this summer, one is especially close to my heart.  My daughter was married in early July.  It was a small private ceremony in Kansas, and each detail was just so lovely.  Well, as you might imagine, I had to quilt something for the wedding party!  That is one of the great privileges that comes with being a quilter.  I love to do any type of handwork for a special event.  Something handmade provides that meaningful touch.  And although I do not have any of the professional photos yet, I will share a photo of the table runner and napkins I made for the wedding, in hopes to inspire you to make something for your next “special event”.

Marty Vint

Love of color and whimsy combined with skilled technique is evidenced in the work of traditional award winning quilter Marty Vint, who was born and raised in Baltimore.
